Our sustainability work has many impacts!

We are fully committed to the circular economy with focus on sustainable and climate-smart recycling.

We reduce use of non-renewable natural resources while at the same time reducing the need for risky landfills in our environment.

Goal 12

is to promote sustainable consumption and production patterns.

Sub-goal 12.4:

By 2020, achieve environmentally sound management of chemicals and all types of waste throughout their life cycle, in accordance with agreed international frameworks, and significantly reduce their emissions into air, water and land with a view to minimizing their negative impacts on human health and the environment.

Some of our actions to achieve this:

  • New, more environmentally efficient transport logistics with return cargo - which reduces emissions to air, land and waterways.

  • EcoHorse to solve a societal problem around horse manure - sustainable, efficient and environmentally friendly recycling (100%) of a waste.

Sub-goal 11.B:

By 2020, substantially increase the number of cities and communities adopting and implementing integrated strategies and plans for inclusion, resource efficiency, climate change mitigation and adaptation and disaster resilience, and develop and implement, in line with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030, integrated disaster risk management at all levels.

Some of our actions to achieve this:

  • We are co-owners and active in Barkaby Science – an arena for, and leaders of, sustainable innovations for the sustainable city

  • Change that today in Sweden we mine non-renewable natural resources such as sand, gravel and rock corresponding to about 10 metric tons per person and year. Through our high recycling rate of 96% (diversion rate 99%), we can instead recycle sand, gravel and rock materials to replace 2/3 of these and save virgin natural resources.
